Reheat pizza in 3 minutes: 5 rules at a glance

  • Preheat the air fryer: 180 °C, 2 mins
  • Add the slices: In a single layer, no overlapping
  • Time: 3–5 mins at 170–180 °C
  • Hack: 2–3 drops of water in the basket
  • Done: Cheese bubbling, crust crunchy – enjoy!

Step-by-step guide to reheating pizza in the air fryer

Reheating pizza in the air fryer is child’s play. Even so, here’s a quick guide so your pizza still tastes crispy on day two. For the best results, you’ll need your air fryer plus perforated baking paper, a spray bottle of water and a little olive oil. Here’s how:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C for 2 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, line the basket with perforated baking paper or brush it lightly with oil so your pizza doesn’t stick.
  3. Put the slices in the basket without overlapping and reheat them in the preheated air fryer for 3-5 minutes at 170-180 °C. As a rule of thumb: thin-crust pizza 3-4 minutes, thick-crust pizza 4-5 minutes.

For extra crunch, leave your pizza in the air fryer at 190-200 °C for the last 30 seconds.

Extra tip: 2–3 spritzes of water in the basket – not directly on the pizza! That way your pizza gets crispy without drying out.

5 tips for perfectly reheated pizza

  • Crust saver: Brush the crust lightly with olive oil → golden crunch.
  • Rubbery cheese fix: If the cheese came out too rubbery, go for 1 min less, then add a 30-sec heat boost at the end.
  • Lots of slices? Just work in batches and leave enough space in the basket for the air to circulate properly.
  • Glossy cheese: Leave it to stand with the basket closed for the last 20 secs → the heat spreads and the cheese sets.
